Description of Nylon Membrane Filters
Nylon membrane filters, which are also called nylon 66 filter membranes, are inherently hydrophilic membrane filter made by impregnating a polyester web with nylon and high strength. Nylon membrane has a high protein binding capacity and is not suitable for protein recovery. Hawach nylon membrane filters are heat resistant. Nylon 66 filter is compatible with aqueous and alcoholic solvents and most widely used in the chemical industry.
Nylon 66 filter membrane discs are highly absorbent, and it is generally not recommended for the filtration of culture media, or the filtration of biological samples such as protein solution, so as to avoid loss of samples due to adsorption. 0.22 um nylon membrane filter 47mm can remove bacteria and impurities, liquid clarification and sterilization, filtration of particles, and filtration of various solvents and liquid medicines.
Nylon filter can be used for the filtration of photoresist in the electronics industry. Nylon filter membrane can also be applied to the terminal filtration of ink. Nylon membrane is suitable for filtration of aqueous solutions and most mild organic solutions, especially alkaline and alcoholic solutions, but not suitable for filtering corrosive solvents and strong acid solutions. Unlike cellulose acetate filters, nylon membrane filter is not suitable for biological experiments because of its high protein binding capacity.
