Description of Sterile MCE Gridded Membrane Filters
As it is different from a normally mixed cellulose ester membrane, Sterile mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membrane filter is a gridded filter with defined grid lines spaced at 3.1mm intervals. Gridded membrane filter has a high flow rate and high protein binding rate. Disk filter membrane 0.45 micron does not enhance or inhibit the growth of bacteria, and the growth rate of microorganisms is high. Sterile MCE grid membrane filters are widely used in biological and medical research, colony counting, sterility testing, water or wastewater analysis, and other microbiological tests.
Mixed cellulose esters MCE membrane filters offer special color contrast provided by the membrane surface particle detection and can ease eye fatigue in the meantime. MCE gridded membrane filter sterilization has two types of the white grid on a black background and black grid on a white background. The black grid on a white background filter membrane 0.45 micron, which is used to detect bacteria and coliforms in the water. Filter membrane 0.45 micron is mainly used for the colony count of E. coli and bacteria; the white grid on a black background filter membrane 0.45 micron, which is mainly used for the detection of the total number of molds and yeasts. Suitable for microbial retention and growth, microbial resurrection rate>90%.
